BMW’S ALL-WHEEL DRIVE system is called xDrive and is fitted to a range of BMW’s soft-roaders which at present are, in order of increasing size, the X1, X3, X4, X5, and X6. The odd-numbered cars are soft-roaders, with lifted suspension and larger tyres than the equivalent-sized road car.
